Tribal Tattoo; this subject has been annoying me for some time now so i am going to put my thoughts on the subject on a page rather than just mocking random people who were dumb enough to get these tattoos.

Let's first take a look at "Tribal Tattoo" in the literal sense. Obviously, even to you braindead peons, the term "Tribal" comes from the word "tribe." What does that have to do with anything? you ask. Well duh, brainiac, the reason people would get them would be as part of either a right of passage, means of loyalty identification, etc. so why would you get a tribal tattoo? Are you a member of a tribe? Are you a direct descendant from a bushman?("huh huh he said bush huh huh" retard) Some get tribal tattoos with the lame excuse of it being their heritage. Here's a clue for ya nitwit, there's a reason your relatives stopped doing it.

They are ugly, they are useless and they serve no purpose to the individual on any level other than to do exactly what everyone else in the tribe does or in a modern sense fitting in with your gay little trendwhore fads. I mean, come on, how many people do you see running around with spears, fur loin cloths and tribal tattoos in whatever fucking lame country your relatives came from now a days? That's right, NONE because they figured out that it was pathetically pointless...i guess you're just a few centuries slower than everyone else.

Stick People: The Next Tattoo Fad.

Today's "tribal" tattoos have no meaning. Originally different shapes styles and designs had different meanings. Now all you have is a doodle some jackass that wasnt good enough to draw a real picture or symbol scribbled on your body. I have some doodles i made when i was in third grade still. Should i get them tattooed on my arm and parade them around like im a patriot because they kinda look like cave drawings from my ancestors homeland if you squint the right way?

There are no "celtic tribal tattoos" you fucking morons. Celt's techinally had (and still have) a religion. A religion and a tribe are not the same thing. I shouldn't even have to explain that they're not, but assuming you have a 'tribal tattoo' i will also have to assume that you are a complete moron that needs everything spelled out for them. Tribe; A unit of sociopolitical organization consisting of a number of families, clans, or other groups who share a common ancestry(ie inbreeding) and culture and among whom leadership is typically neither formalized nor permanent. Religion; An institutionalized system grounded in Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. Tribes did not have religions, they had system's of beliefs that were widely accepted within the group, but more more closely resembled cults than religions. A religion is a wide spread system of beliefs, while tribes are basicly just a village full of inbreds with a belief system. Tribes consist entirely of a people with the same exact cultural background and ancestry while a religion is simply a system of belifes which can, but does not have to encompass people of the same heritage. In order to be a member of a religion all you have to do is hold certain beliefs, while to be a member of a tribe you must be born in a very specific location.

Tribal? No. Homosexual Looking? Yes.

Fading Already.

Now that we have that cleared up let's move on to the actual tribal tattoos themselvs. Besides the above mentioned flaws they have many more problems. They are big and single coloured, which means they WILL not only fade, but they will get fuzzy after time. i don't care how good you THINK the person that tattooed you is. It WILL deterioate over time. take a look at the next old guy you see with an anchor or an american flag or any other lame icon on their arm. See how it looks all fuzy and blotchy? That's how your tattoos will eventually look, regardless of if you think you're taking good care of them.

I'm not oposessed to tattoos in general, but if you're going to permanently alter yourself with "body art" it should have some meaning to you on a personal level. There is nothing original about getting the same exact type of tattoo that hundreds of thousands of other people have. ... but if you're going to be superficial and just get a tattoo that has no real meaning at least get something that looks aesthetically pleasing. Big random splotches of a single colour look like garbage. I suppose it's actually good that they are so plain, ugly and pointless, at least you're not overkilling something that was actually intresting at some point.

In short, tribal tattoos are just one of the latest fads, but this fad will be branded on you forever. Just think if teenagers from the 70's were forced to walk around with afros and polyester bell-bottoms for the rest of their lives. What would your reaction be? To point and laugh at them for doing something so stupid, as will be peoples reactions to you 10 years from now. At least the pathetic trendwhores of the past made sure that they could disown their specific trend following ways once the life of the fad expired.
